Neuschwanstein & Füssen.
Castel “Neuschwanstein” of the German king LudwigII. and the city Füssen. To get here it is about a 30 km drive from Grän. You can visit the wonderful castles “Neuschwanstein” and “Hohenschwangau”. We recommend to visit the nearby city of Füssen with its cosy old town for some sightseen and cultural gems.
Kempten
Ideal for shopping is the city of Kempten, 50 km away from Grän. You will find numerous shops and a nice history city centre.
Lechtal
The Lechtal is our neighbour valley in Tyrol, with a spectacular wild river. It is a nature park with habitat of endangered flora and fauna.
Zugspitze
Visit Germans highest mountain with 2.962 meters. You can reach the top with the cable car from Ehrwald (about 45 km from Grän) and enjoy a fantastic view.
Innsbruck
The capital of Tyrol is situated about 120 km away from Grän. Innsbruck is famous for the „Golden roof“, the traditional old town with cafes, the shopping and life style street „Maria Theresien Straße“. A new museum was built next to the ski jump arena “Bergisel” about the “Mythos Tyrol”.
Cultural sights in the Tannheimer Tal
Visit the local farmer museum in Tannheim.
You can see how people lived in passed days. It’s a whole farmer house to visit, the ancient rooms, machines and lots of pictures from the older days.
Felixé Mina’s Haus
is another old farmer house that was rebuild in 2010. It is a historical building with very nice wooden walls and ancient “Stuben” (parlours). This house is also home to different exhibitions, at the moment you can see black and white photographs from Erika Groth-Schmachtenberger.
This place is also the new home for the nature park „Vilsalpsee“ with a special room for talks and excursions.
A small shop selling local products is located in the Felixé Minas Haus.
Raiffeisen Gallery "Augenblick" in Tannheim is the cultural place in Tannheim for different exhibitions.
