Winter holidays in the Tannheimertal

Skiing and snowboarding

Through the valley you can find 6 nice, skiing spots. In Grän we have the Füssner Jöchle which includes a small lift for children, a gondola to the Füssner Jöchle at 1820 m, a 5-seater chairlift and a drag lift. Here you are at the sunny side of the Tannheimer Tal with an beautiful view over the Tannheimer Tal and the Allgäu.

There are also skiing spots in Tannheim, Nesselwängle, Zöblen and Schattwald. Two Skiing schools in Grän are offering skiing and snowboarding courses all winter long. There is a Bus line that picks you up direct in front of the Hotel to the Lift in Grän or another bus line that drives through the valley.

Cross country skiing and skating

You’ll find 140 km of cross country and skating trails throughout the beautiful valley. Enjoy wonderful winterly landscape and the sporty activity. For beginners we recommend a training offered by the local skiing schools. Rental equipment is available in the local sport shop. 

Snow shoe hiking

A special nature experience is a hike through the snowy fields and woods on snow shoes. The best option is to join our guided snow shoe hiking tour, we show you the most impressive winter places. We also have the necessary equipment (snowshoes and sticks) for rent. 

Winter hiking 

Enjoy  winter on a nice day with a hiking tour through the valley. We have special tracks for winter hiking, through the Tannheimer Tal, the Vilsalpsee or to the hut “Adlerhorst”. It is not possible to make mountain tours in winter!

Toboggan-runs 

either with the chairlift or by foot there are different possibilities for a funny run on the toboggan.
